Automatic Alert Escalation for MOM 2005

Check out the draft of a future Technet article on Steve Rachui’s manageability blog. He discusses the MOM solution accelerators. Of particular interest to me was the description of functionality in the next version of the Notification Workflow Solution Accelerator.........configuration of a Notification Hierarchy: Article Excerpt: “If a notification is sent to a server owner and is not addressed within a predefined time period, the accelerator can be easily configured to escalate the notification to another group of administrators. This ability was not included in the initial release of the accelerator but has been added to the most recent release. In addition to this improvement, the most recent release of the accelerator adds additional enhancements that make the NW more flexible and easier to map to varied MOM environments. (note to editor - the next release that includes this functionality is not yet available but is anticipated to be available by the time of publication)” A recent discussion I had with a PSS person also led to the comment that deployment in a clustered SQL environment may be supported in the next version.....we can only hope.
