MOM-related News and Updates

Several items of note today related to MOM. A workaround was released for another Availability Reporting MP issue - installation fails on SQL 2005 due to SQL Server 2005 strict enforcement of ANSI SQL compliance on newly created databases. Remember the article in Technet Magazine in March '03 that mentioned Alert Escalation functionality being developed for Notification Workflow 2.1? We received an update on the fate of this feature today.           See the full story on these and other newsworthy items, plus tools, report and script updates added 5/3/06 at http://www.momresources.org   Also worth mentioning: Event ID 9548 Hotfix Reminder - The KB article was updated 5/2 for the hotfix how Exchange handles disabled user accounts associated with Exchange mailboxes and may pop up on the radar of the RSS-addicted. Remember that applying this will break Send As permissions on your MOM test mailbox accounts, breaking mailflow and requiring a manual update to 'Send As' permissions on disabled users associated with these items.
